The uncanny valley refers to the unsettling response when humans observe something that appears almost, but not quite, human. Made to be life-like, Sophia the robot falls into this spectrum. "Uncanny" is a 128-page book that uncovers the identity of Sophia. It examines her physical appearance and her abilities, thus questions the extent to which her impression is her self-expression and how much of it is a reflection of ourselves.
