Ludic
Anain Shaik
“Ludic” is an archive inspired by the Latin word “Ludus”, meaning play, and focuses on games that shaped the industry. It immerses users in categories like Women in Gaming, Unique Games, and Early Video Games, each with distinct visual styles.
The archive has three main parts: a game-like start screen, an interactive map with zones for each category (featuring animations, sounds, and hidden “easter eggs”), and text-heavy entries with a clean, editorial layout.
This project was developed by Anain Shaikh as part of the Master's program Design and Interaction at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Nicolas Markwald and Christoph Zielke, 2024.
